Author/photographer/naturalist Donna H. Bowman has canoed through alligator-infested swamps, tracked 800-pound bear in the Poconos, and even ventured through a few kids' rooms (gasp!) in search of unique sites and stories.

Her four nonfiction books, Big Cats; Big Cats, Animal Discovery; Did Dinosaurs Eat People?; and What is the Moon Made of? entice readers to explore and unearth unusual fun facts. Real kids helped create the dinosaur and space books by asking terrific questions—some questions adults might think couldn’t be answered! Prepare to be surprised!

During author visits to schools, bookstores, museums, and zoos, Donna engages children in fun literary safaris letting imaginations run wild! Kids marvel at a Sabertooth cat’s huge fossilized skull and crinkle their noses smelling pungent sticky tar that trapped enormous carnivores. Kids can also see a moon rock, or excavate and identify a mysterious dinosaur fossil!

Donna enjoys speaking to adults at conferences too. She’s a regional advisor for 600 members in the Southern Breeze Region (Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi) of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (21,000 members worldwide!).

Where will Donna’s adventures lead next? Grab your flashlight and follow along! Journey's await at: www.donnahbowman.com.
